Our Pupil Parliament, now in its second year, continues to be a powerful platform for pupil voice and community engagement.
This collaborative project brings together representatives from five primary schools in Great Harwood, with two pupils from each school all working together to address important local issues. Their approach is both innovative and inspiring. Each half term, they meet at different schools, creating a dynamic and inclusive environment for discussion and action.

Last year, the Pupil Parliament made a remarkable impact by focusing on reducing litter in our town. Their dedication was truly impressive, culminating in a massive community litter pick that even attracted the attention of our local MP. By working closely with local businesses, they demonstrated how young people can drive meaningful change in their community.

This year, their mission is equally compelling. The focus is on showing the residents of Great Harwood that our young people genuinely care about their town. They are actively inviting local businesses, community leaders, and councillors to engage with them, creating a dialogue that bridges generations and promotes community spirit.

The Pupil Parliament represents more than just a school project. It's a testament to the potential of our pupils to be active, responsible citizens who understand the importance of community involvement and collaborative problem-solving.

We are immensely proud of our pupils and their commitment to making a positive difference.
